Happy Hanukkah 2015

To help celebrate Randal made a Hanukah menorah out of a log he cut
from a fallen tree near lake and craved a dreidel!

Hanukkah fell on December 6 when the first candle was lite.

Our few of our neighbour came for  latkas and jelly donuts.

Winter in Osoyoos A 10 km Walk

It was 20ยบC and calm on Friday13th in Osoyoos BC.

A group of 67 ladies went for a luncheon at the Osoyoos Golf Club on the west side of the town.

I sat with Helen, Terry, Darlene, Shirley, and Carol. Carol and Helen walked from NK'Mip RV Resort to the golf course, taking 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Some of the ladies were eating by 12:15 and by 1:15pm last meal was served.
After lunch all 67 of us lined up out side the restaurant to have a picture taken for the NK'Mip RV Resort Snow Bird book.

At 1:45 I phoned Randal to say I was walking back with Helen and Carol. Well, that was a long walk, down Golf Course Rd, Pebble Dr., along the Interpretative Trail, through a canal-bridge under highway #3, down to the Welcome Centre. We were near Red Apple Bargain Store where Helen and Carol had to buy licorice all-sorts.

We cut though a few other streets walking in a northerly direction connecting with 92rd Ave. I thought we would never go south towards home.

Finally by 3:00pm we arrived arrived at the Marina. I phoned Randal again not to worry that I should be back within the hour.

By the time we returned to the Resort we had covered 10 km.

Thank Helen and Carol for taking me on your adventure.

Duvall – Rutley Reunion

July 31- August 3rd, 2015
The Battlefords Provincial Park     On Jackfish Lake In Saskatchewan

Family reunions are a tradition for many families.
Every five years my family have got together to compete in a horse shoe tournament,
drink some fine spirits and talk about the spirits that are among us.

Mia, Health, Kenys, Lucille

Lorraine, Evelyn, Lucile and Jim

We were asked to bring our own salad and dessert to add to the BBQ suppers.
Many attendees brought their RVs and filled a common campsite others
booked into Jackfish Lodge on the golf course
Connecting with relatives we had never met and remembering the past was a big part of the weekend.

The Duvall and Rutley families has a history going back
as far as to the Huguenots in France and Switzerland.
From my mother's story:
Duvalls were of Huguenot (French) descent, which had fled to England and the first Duvall served in Wolfe’s Army, in Quebec. When the war was over many of the soldiers chose to remain in America and settled in New York State. We know little about how many of the family were there, except that David Duvall was a very young boy when family moved to Canada, settling also in Stromont County.

Mothers Day

Art of Feminine Presence™

The Teachers of Calgary Core have taught the Art of Feminine Presence™ classes in Calgary over the past 2 years, empowering spiritual women of all ages and walks of life to be seen and heard and feel confident in every aspect of their lives.

What better way to spend Mother's Day than with my daughter, Lynne, and a  group of warm women of all ages!

At a recent Art of Feminine Presence workshop held in Calgary, these women graced the event, giving their friendship and energy to each other. We learned to feel feminine and be proud of it wherever we are. When the workshop was finished a great shift of energy was felt, which enlightened us.

Lynne was one of five facilitators. She is a Core Alignment Specialist, and a Registered Massage/ Cranio-sacral Therapist. She is passionate about creating functionality, flow, and freedom; caring for our space both inside and out. She co-owns and operates Britannia Bodywork Wellness Centre. She has been part of the alternative health industry, helping people work with chronic pain and injury since 1993. Sh is part of an international community of women, steadfast to their own personal growth; that desire to continue to make a difference; in their lives, in their families and in their communities; to make their mission, passion and pleasure to priority
