Cut Knife Archives

Randal and I spent two weeks camping on the Bertrand Family Farm
 near Cut Knife, Saskatchewan.

From our Open Range Travel Trailer we could see the deteriorating ninety year old house and the fallen barn on the hill close by. The yard is now surrounded by very tall trees with the well groomed yard, giving it a much different look and feel from years gone-by.

While there I researched the Cut Knife Grinder and Highway 40 Courier Archives for my autobiography

Lucille Bullerwell and I
Thanks to Lucille Bullerwell, the dedicated volunteer from Clayton McLain Memorial Museum and Archives in Cut Knife for the hours she spent with us.

We found so many interesting stories and reports in the the newspapers dating back to 1945 in the former Cut Knife Grinder and the present Highway 40 Courier.
