It was over cast with a light breeze all day. Randal and I went to the Osoyoos Photo Club Photo shoot in Linden Gardens in Kaleden a 45 minute drive north of Osoyoos and 8 km south of Penticton.
Linden Gardens is home to 9 acres of lush perennial gardens, pathways and ponds. Born out of a family fruit farm, the gardens were planted in 2000 with influences from English country and coastal public gardens. With winding pathways and multiple streams and ponds, Linden Gardens offer the casual stroller or the experienced gardener something to ponder. From early spring when thousands of bulbs begin the season to the last rose of October their garden will show with a steady flow of flowers. In between spring and fall on will see a myriad of lilies, rudbeckia, grasses, poppies, lily’s and lupines.. It goes on forever.
The ever-changing landscape at Linden Gardens is the result of impeccable vision of husband and wife team Ken and Margaret Hater. An awe-inspiring adventure for the whole family, the Linden Gardens truly is the garden that love built.
We were there for a couple of hours. Even I took some pictures with my cell phone. Learning fast. At noon the group met at the Frog City Café for lunch.
