Eat Away Illness

In 2008,  Register Nutrtional Consultant, Paulette Millis & I teamed up to hold a Healthy Breakfast Cooking Workshop at the former Buena Vista Bed and Breakfast Spa.

We had a good attendance and a lot of fun.

The recipes were varied from the traditional breakfasts we see today.

Paulette's other publications are Cook Your Way to Health  and What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You About Foods.

There are not only healthy and simple recipes but also health hints to help with your health concerns

I wish to thank Paulette for acknowledging me on page 318  on the occasion of this workshop.

Northern Friends Visits

A long time friend and her husband came from Candle Lake for an overnight visit. .

(See January 22, 2011 Blog) Marion and I go back to North Battleford, Psychiatric Nursing days of late 1950's and her husband, Robert (known as Big Bob) go back to the1960's .

We lived on the same street  in Regina to raise our families. There are many fond memories of caring for each other, sharing good times and bad times.

They now live right on the shores of Candle Lake, where Robert Sr.and his late father had a fishing cottage many years ago. Their new home sits on the same site.

Their son Robert Jr. (Young Bob) is enjoying being there as well. Between the three of them they own and operate Sylvan Energy Solutions - The evolution of energy is our mission".

Marion is the CEO and Robert Jr. Project Director.
