Over the past summer I settled into a
new life in Osoyoos BC. Randal and I made the decision to become
residents of British Columbia. It was not a hard decision as we have
spent three winters as NK'Mip
RV Snow Birds. We stayed for the summer and felt at home.
Every Saturday I walked to the Market
On Main There I enjoyed the Organic Coffee from Wolf
Tree Coffee; The jams from Kolibri Kreations; pickles and
sauerkraut from Garlic
Freak and talking to many other vendors.
I was so excited about this environment
that I thought that meeting more enterprising women would be the way
to go through a women's network. I had belonged to the Regina Women's
Network while living in Regina. I started to ask the women if there
was such a organisation here in Osoyoos to find out there was not.
From there I collected business cards and developed an email list. To
date I have over 50 responses.
The first organisation meeting was held on October 16th at Troy's Grill. It was overwhelming to see 13 women attend and immediately volunteered to kick start the Women's Network of South Okanagan
Thank you ladies for your keen interest and support in the new adventure. I look forward to meeting many more entrepreneurial women.
